CNC machinist can calculate part diameter in constant surface speed in imperial (english) units using this formula:

D = 3.82 * Sp / Sn;

where
D - diameter in inches (cutter diameter for milling or part diameter for turning),
Sn - CNC machine spindle speed, revolutions per minute (r/min),
Sp - peripheral speed in feet per minute (ft/min).

To calculate the part diameter in constant surface speed in inches enter the  peripheral speed in feet per minute and CNC machine spindle speed in revolutions per minute and click the CALCULATE button.

The program will calculate the diameter in inches (cutter diameter for milling or part diameter for turning).
